New Sanctuary Records Site Launches
Sunday, July 01, 2007
Sanctuary Records is pleased to announce the beta launch of the new sanctuaryrecords.com, powered by Echospin. For the first time, listeners of reggae, classic rock, metal, r&b and pop can come together to explore the extensive and eclectic catalogue from the Sanctuary roster. The new website brings variety to music lovers, making Sanctuary’s entire repertoire available any way fans want it – from CDs and DVDs to MP3s, iPod-friendly videos, mobile ringtones and more - using the latest cutting-edge technology for an effortless and value-packed experience.
Sanctuary Records understands that success in the digital arena means giving fans the flexibility they deserve. That's why Sanctuary was the first catalog of its size to offer unprotected MP3s and why they’ve decided to partner with Echospin, a leading technology company whose patented Delivery Wizard software has enabled Sanctuary artists to sell MP3s and iPod-friendly videos directly to fans from their own websites, blogs and MySpace pages. Sanctuary has been using the revolutionary Delivery Wizard to sell and give-away music and video on websites for artists such as Morrissey, Iron Maiden, and Dolores O’Riordan, among others, and in the coming weeks, the Wizard will be deployed on Sanctuaryrecords.com. The site is now available as a public beta with more features launching soon, including over-the-air ringtone delivery to handsets.
The new sanctuaryrecords.com offers content in previously unreleased configurations, such as albums and singles bundled with bonus tracks, which previously could only be purchased from separate download sites. Many products are specially priced and on average cost $0.89 or less for digital tracks, $8.99 or less for full digital albums, $9.99 for physical CDs, $1.99 for videos.
Sanctuaryrecords.com has a regular newsletter web surfers can sign up for to get the latest news on the jam-packed musical offerings in the store. A home for music lovers and the casual fan alike, this website definitely has something for everyone.
