INEVITABILITY OF A STRANGE WORLD
WOODLAND HILLS CA, May 31, 2006 —Rockers Halifax showed strongly on the Billboard charts this week nabbing the #1 Heatseeker position for their release The Inevitability Of A Strange World released May 23, 2006 on Drive-Thru Records. This is the band’s first full-length release.
Produced by Lou Giordano (Taking Back Sunday, Sunny Day Real Estate) and Machine (Armor for Sleep, Lamb Of God, Boys Night Out) The Inevitability Of A Strange World is a full-throttle rock n’ roll record replete with slick guitar work and gut-wrenching power ballads. The album’s first single “Our Revolution” is an homage to 80’s era Mötley Crüe inspired rock n’ roll. The accompanying video, directed by Ahmi Manson highlights Halifax’s love of the finer things in life. The video makes its on-air debut June 5th on FUSE’S Daily Download show, will be shown all week on Oven Fresh and is currently premiering online at MySpace.com. “Our Revolution” will impact Rock radio formats on June 12th. In addition to #1 Heatseekers, Inevitability debuted at #130 on the Top 200 this week.
The Inevitability Of A Strange World, which was featured as one of the most anticipated albums of 2006 by Alternative Press magazine, is the follow-up to Halifax’s 2004 EP A Writer’s Reference, which sound-scanned over 33K copies. With over one million plays on Pure Volume, Halifax has toured the US from coast to coast, the UK and Japan. Fans can see the band up close and personal this summer on tour with Bayside and Hawthorne Heights in June and into July. Halifax joins the famed Warped Tour in August.
Halifax features Mike Hunau on vocals, Chris Brandt on guitars and backing vocals, Adam Charles on guitar, Tommy Guindon on drums, and Doug Peyton on bass.
