Teena Marie is back with her second CD on the Cash Money Records label “Sapphire.” A few weeks ago I got a chance to speak with Ms. Teena Marie or Lady Tee as some of us call her. This interview is only an excerpt of the entire conversation I had with the R & B living legend.RANDOM THOUGHTS with Teena Marie:
Do you keep a journal? Yes, a few of them.
What’s the last CD you listened to? A compiliation Cd that I made myself of inspirational songs like Aretha Franklin’s “Holy,Holy”….Diana Ross’ “Ain’t No Mountain,” Minnie Rippleton, a lot of Earth, Wind & Fire, etc.
What’s the last movie you watched? Billy Elliott
What’s your favorite time of the year? Christmas, because my daughter was born on Christmas day.
Do you prefer slow music or fast songs? I prefer slow music. I like fast jams, but as a whole I like ballads.
What’s your favorite TV show? I don’t watch a lot of TV so that’s difficult. King of Queens…I like that show.
